The Gift of Grandparents

If you are planning to celebrate grandparents with your school or parish community, what better day than the feast of Sts Joachim and Ann on July 26? Last year, on behalf of the Bishops Commission for Pastoral Life, we sent you a resource kit with some ideas to assist you.

The kit can again be accessed electronically using the links below. Many schools and parishes have expressed an interest in using it again this year or may not have had the opportunity to use it last year. It can be used around Friday July 26 or at any other time of the year.

The central part is a reproducible two-sided A4 handout which affirms the role of grandparents in family life and in passing on the faith.
The Kit also contains suggestions for celebrating the role of grandparents. These include power points slides, craft suggestions, homily notes and liturgy suggestions.
